Tuesday, March 24 Schedule
Tuesday, March 24 is ACT/PreACT Testing Day at Scottsbuff High School. It is important that students attend on this day. Students who are absent will be required to complete the ACT or PreACT test at a different date during the school day. Attendance will be taken on Tuesday, March 24 as this is a regular school day.
9th-11th grade students must arrive on test day with a 100% charged Chromebook. Please ensure devices are plugged in overnight.
Please make sure students know their transportation arrangements for this day.
Freshmen
7:15 am-7:35 am: Optional breakfast served in the cafeteria
7:35 am: 9th grade students report to assigned testing locations/Attendance taken
7:40 am-11:30 am: PreACT Testing in assigned classroom
11:30 am: All 9th grade students dismissed from testing
11:30 am-12:15 pm: Lunch at SHS (Optional)
12:15 pm - 3:25 pm: Following PreACT testing and lunch for ninth graders, Freshman Academy Core teachers will offer an Academic Recovery Block. This time will be designated for those who may be failing a core class due to missing work or need an opportunity to redo a previous assessment. Once student work is completed they are dismissed and allowed to leave for the day. If the student needs to wait for their arranged transportation, they must remain in the commons area and will not be allowed in other areas of the building due to ACT/PreACT testing.
Sophomores
7:45 am-10:45 am: No morning classes. 10th grade students do not report to school.
10:45 am-11:30 am: Optional Lunch in the cafeteria
11:30 am: 10th grade students report to assigned testing locations/Attendance taken
11:35 am-3:25 pm: PreACT testing for all students in assigned classrooms
*Students may finish early. Students must know transportation plans if they finish early.
Juniors
7:00 am-7:30 am: Free Breakfast in the cafeteria
7:30 am-7:45 am: 11th grade students report to testing locations. Important: Students must be on time
7:45 am-12:15 pm: ACT Testing in assigned classrooms
11:50 am-12:45 pm: Grab and go lunch in the cafeteria
12:45 pm-3:25 pm: No afternoon classes. 11th grade students do not report to school.
*Please make sure your student knows their transportation plans when they are finished with testing.
Seniors
Students failing courses or enrolled in Edgenuity courses will work in the Band Room all day. Please bring a 100% charged chromebook. Please ensure devices are plugged in overnight.
All other 12th-grade students will not be required to attend school.
**Busing transportation will run at the normal school scheduled morning and afternoon times.
