Andrew Hunzeker of EducationQuest will be available to schedule individual financial aid appointments in Scottsbluff on Thursday, October 22nd from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM during Parent-Teacher Conferences. A sign-up form will be sent through Parent Square starting Sept. 30th to schedule your appointment

ATTENTION ALL SENIORS: APPLY2COLLEGE DAY is just around the corner. On October 7, 2026 from 8:00 AM-2:30 PM, SHS counselors, College Admissions Representatives, and teachers will be here to help you with your college applications and scholarship forms. Representatives from various universities and colleges can help you apply or work on the common application. Please plan to make time to come in and get some help with your college applications and scholarship forms.This event will be in the SHS Boardroom.
Please sign up in the counseling office for a 45 minute time slot you plan to attend. Try to schedule a time that aligns with your open period or least disrupts your schedule.
Items to bring with you should include your Social Security Number, a credit card (for any application fees), and your chromebook. We will provide you with support in accessing your transcripts and test scores. See you there!
Seniors and Parents if you missed the parent meeting September 2nd, please view the power point of information for the entire year. It provides all information from now until May, especially important dates to remember!!!
SENIOR INFORMATION
JUNIORS: The PSAT/National Merit Scholarship standardized test will be held Wednesday, October 14th. Juniors will need to sign up in the Counseling Office by September 18th. The cost is $18 or a completed Fee Waiver if qualified.
Seniors and Juniors: The NACRAO Scottsbluff Area College Fair is Tuesday, September 1st from 1:30 - 3:00 PM at WNCC Cougar Palace. If you are interested in attending this event, please sign up and register in the Counseling Office by AUGUST 28th at NOON. In order to attend you must be in good standing with your classes. Attendance and grade checks will take place to confirm eligibility.
As of July 23rd, we are open to help serve our current families and welcome new ones! Back to school letters will be going out soon. Please visit our district website to help you prepare for the new school year!
New Student Enrollment process is listed on the sbps.net webpage under ENROLLMENT. Users will be directed to the Scottsbluff Public Schools Online Registration Kiosk to start a new registration or return to a saved registration. Upon receipt of the online registration, a records requests for the previous school will be made and parents will be contacted to schedule an enrollment appointment and building tours once those records have been received. Current, PREVIOUSLY ENROLLED STUDENTS do NOT need to do an online application.
Students, Parents and Guardians: The SHS Counseling Office will be closed for summer break June 9th-July 22nd. Counseling staff will be unavailable through the duration of the summer. If you need assistance, you may contact the SHS Main Office. If there is a non-academic emergency, individuals can reach the Family Success Center by calling 308-633-6235 or emailing [email protected].

We will conduct building tours in conjunction with new registration appointments in early August.
All Transcript Requests should be conducted through Scottsbluff Public Schools Online Payments webpage. If a parent or student has concerns, please contact Mrs. Ramos at [email protected] to answer any question in regard to summer transcription services. If you are a 2026 graduate, please contact Mrs. Ramos at [email protected] to obtain your transcript free of charge. Please note, all 2026 graduates who completed a transcript release had their transcripts sent per their requests on June 1, 2026. Please check with your college or university to make sure it was received.
For current students, schedule changes and questions will occur in August before school starts. A student square message from your counselor or the annual back to school letter will update you on those important dates and times. Once school begins, there will be limited changes to student schedules unless it is an error or conflict. Please make sure to take advantage of those early dates and times if needing to change your schedule.
Class of 2026 - your diplomas may be picked up at the SHS Main Office. All graduates must have a zero balance on their school account in order to receive their diploma. Diplomas may be picked up May 22nd - June 25th, Monday-Thursday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM. SHS Office will reopen July 16th and diplomas may be picked up Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, beginning on that date.
