Would you like to know more about how you can support your student in PreACT/ACT study prep? Scottsbluff High School is currently providing a study platform to help your student get ready for the ACT that they will be required to take during the spring semester of their junior year. The study tool is called Horizon Education. Your student has taken the practice PreACT Assessment #1 or ACT Assessment #1 in September and now has access to their scores. We encourage all students and parents to review your student’s test scores together and learn more about how your student can study to better prepare for future ACT testing.

After your student reviews their score report, there are many activities that can help your student review core concepts for English, Math, Reading and Science. These activities provide valuable lessons and information; as well as practice questions that are formatted similar to the ACT. The ACT is a timed assessment so learning time-management strategies and test structure will help in the success of your student’s test completion and overall score. The more your student participates in scheduled study time with Horizon provides an opportunity for learning test taking strategies and can aid in achieving higher test scores. The value of higher test scores could lead to college admission and scholarship opportunities.
What is the PreACT?
PreACT assessments offer 10th graders an early experience with ACT test items, provides a predicted ACT test score, and offers a wealth of information to help students get the start they need to be college ready.
