Bearcat Stadium Football Game Expectations

School safety is a top priority for all staff at Scottsbluff Public Schools. Due to past events and to provide a safer environment, we will continue our increased security and law enforcement presence in Pioneer Park and other areas, including the parking lot and grassy areas around the stadium and Bluffs Middle School. We will also continue implementing additional procedures to help control the number of kids leaving the stadium.

All BMS students attending the game will be required to stay for the entirety of the game unless picked up by a parent/guardian or leaving with a parent/guardian. BMS students who leave the game without a parent/guardian before the conclusion of the game will not be allowed to attend future home games for the remainder of the season, which includes any playoff games. BMS students attending the game must sit in the BMS student section unless attending with a parent/guardian. If BMS students are not seated in the designated BMS student section, they must sit with their parent/guardian in an alternate location. Under no circumstances is a BMS student allowed to sit in the SHS student section. Additionally, all SHS and BMS activities will be cashless this year; only digital forms of payment will be accepted at the gates and concessions. Purchasing an activity pass for your student is the best value.

Elementary students are to sit with their parents at all times during the game. They are not allowed to play in the grassy areas around the stadium. If an elementary student is unaccompanied by an adult in one of these areas, they will be instructed to return to their seat with their parents.

Footballs, soccer balls, toys, etc., should not be brought to Bearcat Stadium. We strive to keep our walkways open and areas clear of people while the football game is being played. As spectators, we need to be courteous to everyone there to enjoy the game.

Students who are contacted by security personnel, school administration, or law enforcement regarding inappropriate conduct may be prohibited from attending home football games for the remainder of the season, including any playoff games. Students found to have engaged in inappropriate conduct on school grounds may also be subject to disciplinary action in accordance with the student conduct expectations outlined in the student handbooks. Depending on the nature and severity of the offense, criminal charges may also apply.

It is our goal for all our spectators, visitors, and families to have an enjoyable experience at our home football games without worrying about what is happening outside Bearcat Stadium. This not only benefits our student-athletes but also our fans and visiting teams, so everyone can enjoy their time under the Friday Night Lights. We thank you for your partnership in ensuring a safe school community for our students and staff.
