Students in grades 9–11 will participate in Fall Testing Day on Wednesday, September 16. Students will complete a practice college-readiness assessment using Progress Learning. Grades 9-10 take the practice Pre-ACT & Grade 11 takes the practice ACT.
Why are students taking a practice assessment?
The practice PreACT/ACT gives students an opportunity to become familiar with ACT-style questions and the testing experience. Results will provide students and teachers with a snapshot of current skills and help identify strengths and areas where additional practice may be helpful.
Progress Learning results can also be used to help guide ACT/PreACT preparation throughout the school year.
Because the results are most useful when they accurately reflect a student's current skills, we encourage all students to take the assessment seriously and give their best effort. This practice assessment is not about earning a grade—it is about identifying what students know now and what they are ready to work on next.
Students will work through ACT-style questions in English, Math, Reading, and Science.
Attendance is important! Please help us make sure students are at school, on time, and ready to do their best.
